Picturesque routes of the Karkonosze and Izery Mountains are full of unlimited possibilities of active rest. Walks, mountain climbing and even horse riding through the forests. When we talk about Szklarska Poręba, we cannot forget about alpine skiing.

Szklarska Poręba

It is a place with extremely favourable conditions for leisure and recreation. Peace and quiet, and ever changing landscapes, together with the murmur of crystal-clear brooks and waterfalls surrounded by granite rocks – all of them deeply influence and soothe those who seek rest in here.

If we add to it the unlimited possibilities of walks along picturesque routes of the Karkonosze and Izery Mountains, mountain climbing, and even horse riding through the forests, we will not be able to get through the entire list of options.
Apart from their mesmerizing beauty, the Sudety Mountains attract with their mystery. Countless legends about the Mountain Spirit – Liczyrzepa (Rübezahl), the Walloons and their omnipresent signs, and also stories about treasure hidden in brooks and forests give you the reasons to visit Szklarska Poręba. Because of its location, it is an ideal starting point to nearby places, like Jakuszyce, Karpacz, Jelenia Góra or Prague, or even Vienna. When we talk about Szklarska Poręba, we cannot forget about alpine skiing. In the town itself, there are 15 downhill ski runs of different level of difficulty, as well as 14 lifts. Most of them is situated on Szrenica – the mountain towering above the town. Just at the border of the place, in the Czech town of Harrachov, known as the Czech capital of winter sports, there are 7 km of ski pistes with all levels of difficulty.



With the highest mountain peak - Śnieżka, and the church Wang, it is one of the most beautiful towns in Karkonosze. People visit it mainly because of its picturesque location at the foot of Karkonosze Mountains and their highest peak, Śnieżka.

The tourists are offered countless options of spending their free time – several dozens of kilometres of tourist routes and bike paths, excellent conditions for alpine and cross-country skiing, sledding tracks and all-year-round open toboggan runs, climbing, quads and extreme sports. Among the attractions of Karpacz we can also find numerous museums, exhibitions, swimming pools, SPA centres, bowling alleys, discos, restaurants and stylish cafés. 



The area surrounding Szklarskiej Poręby has always been perceived as a place ideal for hiking. A widely-developed tourist infrastructure, including a network of tourist trails leading from one attraction to another, from one mountain hut to the next one, creates a very friendly climate for mountain trips, not only for experienced hikers.

Mieczysław Orłowicz Main Sudetes Trail leads through Izery and Karkonosze Mountains. Moreover, there are themed tourist routes in Szklarska Poręba. When walking along a trail, you can learn about the history, culture, tradition, ancient beliefs and customs of people leaving in Izery and Karkonosze Mountains.



Harrachov – the Czech capital of winter sports – is located nearby Szklarska Poręba, on the other side of the border created by the Jakuszyce Glade (Polana Jakuszycka). It is very popular both among the Czech and the Polish people.

Its most known attraction is undoubtedly the famous complex of ski jumping hills, situated on the slopes of the Devil’s Mountain (Certova Hora). When we go up the Devil’s Mountain in a chairlift, we can look closely at the famous Mammoth ski jump, where one of the World Cup competitions takes place. Harrachov has also 7 kilometres of ski pistes with different difficulty level, characterised by a modern system of artificial snow making, which guarantees excellent skiing conditions. Harrachov and its surrounding areas are places with the biggest number of signposted bike routes in the Czech Republic. Routes and bike paths are because they are connected with bike routes on the Polish side of the Izery Mountains near Szklarska Poręba.


Aerial Yoga

It is one-of-a-kind exercise technique with use of a hammock, which makes difficult and demanding asanas easier to perform, without straining your joints. The hammock enables to combine yoga with dancing and even acrobatics.
Classes are conducted as part of additional activities of the movement form during the high season or at the request of larger organized groups.

SUP Yoga

We are the first hotel in Poland, where you can experience the new form of  yoga. The SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) Yoga practised on water, on specially adapted boards, is a perfect alternative for traditional yoga. The yoga on water is a very pleasant refreshing of the beaten practice paths or excellent introduction to begin the adventure with yoga. 

Exercises on the board, as any other, require preserving the balance and engage such muscles which are not active during the typical training. Practising the SUP Yoga, is one of more interesting ideas for relaxation. Come and join us!

Szklarska Poręba is called a land of bikes. The town itself and the surrounding area have many cycling routes and bike paths. In the Izery Mountains there are easy routes, low height differences, great panoramas and big spaces; in the Karkonosze Mountains – the trails are demanding, for the advanced, with breathtaking landscapes.

450 km of bike baths altogether, including 19 routes marked 1-5 on a difficulty scale, which means that everybody will find a satisfying route.
