Speaking of Szklarska Poręba, one cannot ignore alpine skiing. The town itself offers 15 km of ski slopes of varying difficulty and 14 lifts. Most are situated on Szrenica, the mountain towering over the town. Just at the city border, in the Czech town of Harrachov—the Czech capital of winter sports—there are 7 km of ski runs of all difficulty levels.
